Assuming good weather conditions there will be a club work party on Sunday April 28th, 2013 at 9AM in the morning. The purpose of the work party is to recondition the runway and take care of other Spring cleaning tasks. While the runway work should certainly wait until the 28th due to the steps involved, if you see something minor out of order, please feel free, as always, to make it right.
- Runway edges will be cleared of grass over growth
- Runway cracks will be cleaned and filled
- Runway will be top sealed to prevent rain infiltration and cracking in the Winter.
- The clubhouse will be cleaned and organized, and possibly painted as well as the paint is getting bad.
- Signage will cleaned and re-hung if needed.
- Other field maintenance duties.
Also of note, the field was rolled this week and we appreciate the time and effort put in by Jer, Eric, Lee and Don in getting that all taken care of. It looks like it’s ready for another great flying season! If you weren’t at the meeting but see them at the field make sure to thank them!
